White Line Woodcut on the South Shore


White Line Woodcut is a printmaking technique where each print is unique and created by painting shapes that have been carved into a pine board. In this workshop you will have an opportunity to learn how to carve your linear design Into a pine board and print it using watercolors. In this two-day workshop you will get a “taste” of this printmaking tradition that originated in Provincetown, MA over 100 years ago. You will go home with all the information you need to continue exploring white line woodcut printmaking on your own. All supplies are included (cost for supplies is $20 per student).
